Afterglow ~ Aura ~ Suri Silk Fluff

Afterglow (June '24) ~ the Afterglow series are one of a kind colourways created from the remnants of dye powders. To eliminate waste, I collect clumps of dye powder left behind on speckling utensils, rinse them into water set aside for this purpose, and they collect and grow into a very unique dyestock. This becomes the base of all afterglow colourways though I will occasionally add speckling if this unique colour way is singing out for it. Enjoy your truly one of a kind yarn!

65% baby suri alpaca, 35% silk, brushed silk 

Every skein of yarn is hand dyed with love and care using professional, heavy metal-free acid dyes and dyes are fully exhausted. It is rare - but possible - for light colour bleeding to occur on the first wash, especially in highly saturated colourways. 

Due to the nature and magic of the hand dyeing process, the appearance can vary slightly, even within each dye batch, and across different base yarns. This only adds to the beauty and uniqueness of each yarn, and I hope you love this aspect of hand dyed yarn as much as I do!

when using multiple skeins of a colourway in a project, I recommend you alternate skeins every 2 rows to best marry your skeins. 

Recommend hand wash: the yarn is washfast and colourfast, and whilst it is superwash, I recommend you handwash your finished work and air dry flat for best results.
